Drive from Charlottetown

We’ll cross the Hillsborough River and head to eastern Prince Edward Island.  The gentle rolling terrain and gorgeous farms are everywhere you look as you make your way to Montague.

Montague River Cruise

Here you will be taken on a cruise down the Montague River on The Manada, a reconstructed lobster fishing boat.  Captain Joe will give you many interesting facts about mussel farming while sailing past the long lines and floating buoys which mark the territory of each mussel farm.  Fresh, steamed, hot Island Blue cultured mussels will be served on board - indulge to your hearts content!

The Rossignol Estates Winery

Travel through some wooded area past blueberry and vegetable fields and arrive in Little Sands where you'll find a local vineyard where grapes are grown for The Rossignol Estates Winery.  You may purchase samples at a minimum fee and all proceeds go to assist the local Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Northumberland Strait

Travel back to the cruise ship dock on roads overlooking the Northumberland Strait as well as the Trans Canada Highway.  As you travel, you'll learn about the many lighthouses and the former 'rum running' conducted offshore in these island waters.
