FreeStyle Travel Series
No luggage schlepping
There've been some dramatic changes in the travel industry recently. Some changes--like post 9-11 security--haven't been particularly good news. But one recent change is great news for travelers: group tour sizes are getting smaller.
Small groups give you more personal attention
Small groups give you more personal attention, and allow you the chance to really get to know your fellow travelers. You don’t waste time waiting for the stragglers that always seem to slow down large groups, so there’s more time to allow you to experience local color. Small groups also provide less of an “assembly-line” milieu.
escape from the tyranny
And small groups let travelers escape from the tyranny of the rigid itinerary. Small groups simply have much more spontaneity and flexibility; if your group agrees (and that's easy to do with just 6 people) you can depart from a set itinerary at any time.
It's really the best of all worlds. You get the freedom and spontaneity of independent travel without the loneliness, luggage schlepping, or the headaches of dealing with the myriad of logistics necessary for a smooth independent trip.
It's really the best of all worlds.
With this in mind, Blue Diamond has created a new series of tours. You are among the first to hear about it; in fact, we haven't even formally named them, but for now we call them our “FreeStyle Travel Series”. Here’s what they offer:
- all trips start and end at your own front door
- transportation and luggage portage is provided
- rooms can be booked on a double, single, or, when possible, triple basis
- breakfast and dinner is included daily (occasionally lunch too )
- entry fees to the listed attractions are included
- entertainment as specified for that trip is included
- gratuities and taxes are included in the price of the trip
- on USA trips travel and medical insurance is included (with pre-existing conditions coverage)
- if your group wants to make an unscheduled stop, we'll do it (where permitted by safety considerations)
- there are just six travelers on each trip
The Drawback
The one drawback to small groups is that trips fill fast. To save your spot on one of these three upcoming small group trips, call me --Bob Davison--now at (902) 444-6883.

1. Gaspe
Forillon National Park of Canada
Gaspe, (a Mi’Kmaq word meaning “lands end”) is the northern end of the ancient Appalachian Mountain range--best known for its spectacular scenery and gastronomical delights.
Our trip will follow Route 132, from end to end, as it circles the peninsula. We will also visit Forillon National Park.
It's hard to beat good food, amazing scenery, and a convivial small group, but it has also been said the Gaspesians are filled with human warmth and invite visitors to discover a region where Nature sins only by its excess of beauty.

2. Anne & Tom Together Again! (or maybe for the first time)--Two plays in two nights.
PEI and it's famous red sand
This trip combines summer in Prince Edward Island (spectacular!) with two of PEI's cultural icons: Anne of Green Gabel and Stompin' Tom.
We'll join Prince Edward Island in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic work, Anne of Green Gables, with the Happy ANNE-iversary dinner--a birthday party complete with entertainment by Anne and friends before the show, a 3-course dinner, and a signature Anne 2008 souvenir. The next night, it's off to see the lively "Ballad of Stompin' Tom," based on the music and life of “the man of the land', Stompin’ Tom Connors, who got his start in PEI with the famous song "Bud the Spud from PEI". This show is highlighted by songs, stories, and scenes from Tom’s early years, and the cast and a rockin’ band deliver an exuberant live performance of some of his greatest hits
July 14 to July 16, 2008
3. New Brunswick
Whale-watching in New Brunswick
New Brunswick is a gorgeous blend of natural wonders and Acadian culture.
This action packed trip explores the best of New Brunswick in summer. We’ll visit the Shediac area, Magnetic Hill, Fredericton, the Mactequac Dam, and King’s Landing Historical Park. We’ll also explore southern New Brunswick to St. Stephen, and if time and interest permits, we may even slip over to Calais, Maine for a quick visit. We'll stay for two nights in the lovely Saint Andrews, take a nature cruise on the Bay of Fundy (August is whale-watching season), and visit the city of Saint John and its world famous Saint John Market.
We’ll also visit both Reversing Falls sites, tour Fundy National Park, and stop for a visit at the ‘flower pots’ at Hopewell Cape on the Bay of Fundy. We’ll drive through downtown Moncton as we make our way to the Trans Canada Highway and our route to Nova Scotia and home.
August 12 to August 16, 2008
4. What's your dream trip?
What's your Dream?
Here's another advantage of the personal attention and flexibility of small group tours--if you have a place you'd like to explore, we can design the perfect journey. Tell us where, when, and what you’d like to do, and we'll put our experience to work to make your dream trip a reality.
These trips are also the perfect reunion for old friends, book clubs, or family. You can bond over shared adventures instead of getting stuck with all the arrangements or doing the dishes while the rest of the group laughs in the next room over shared memories.
Because space is so limited, we're opening these FreeStyle group trips up first to a small, select number of previous guests and friends of Blue Diamond Tours. FreeStyle group tours are open to only six travelers each. Book early to claim your spot.
